Week 8: Kingston at Scott High
Region 2-3A's coaches predicted Kingston to finish fifth in the region this season and the Highlanders to finish seventh. But as Week 8 rolls around, both teams are fighting for the region's final playoff position when they meet on Highlander Field Friday night. The last time these two teams met here, they battled to a 7-6 finish, with Kingston using a missed extra point to come out on top on a rainy night. But last year, the Yellow Jackets cruised to a 56-14 win over Scott on in Roane County. If the Highlanders are to make the playoffs, they must beat Kingston this week. If the Yellow Jackets are to make the playoffs this week, they must beat Scott High this week or hope for a lot of help elsewhere in the region.
