Emily Cross was crowed Little Miss Fairest of the Fair at the Scott County Fair Monday evening.

In the first of a series of four pageants that were to have been held this week, Emily competed against 24 other contestants to claim the top prize.

The daughter of Sean and Christy Cross of Oneida, four-year-old Emily attends Mrs. Patsy’s Play School. She was sponsored by Tami’s Hair and Nail Salon.

First runner-up was Bayleigh Griffith, four-year-old daughter of Eric and Jill Griffith of Oneida. Bayleigh is a preschool student at Oneida Elementary and was sponsored by First Trust & Savings Bank.

Second runner-up was Julian Shae Goodman, four-year-old daughter of Jesi Stephens and Brad Goodman of Oneida. Julian is a preschool student at Oneida Elementary. She was sponsored by Cumberland Animal Clinic.

Others in the top eight included:

• Shayne Alene King, five-year-old daughter of Rhyan Alene King of Oneida;

• Chloe Faith Lowe, four-year-old daughter of Eugene and Selena Lowe of Huntsville;

• Reisha Leann Boatwright, four-year-old daughter of Donald and Amy Boatwright of Helenwood;

• Carlie Hope Chambers, four-year-old daughter of Chris and Jessica Chambers of Winfield; and,

• Kloey Nicole Sexton, four-year-old daughter of John and Danielle Sexton of Helenwood.

Contestants making the first cut of 15 also included:

• Destyne Paige Smith, five-year-old daughter of Mark and Joyce Smith of Winfield;

• Kylie Erin Crabtree, five-year-old daughter of Freddy and Stacey Cousino of Helenwood;

• McKenzie Faith Anderson, four-year-old daughter of Andrew and Ina Anderson of Oneida;

• Savana Ashlyn Shepard, four-year-old daughter of Travis and Morgan Shepard of Oneida;

• Kaylin LaShae Vaughn, four-year-old daughter of Amber Vaughn and Jason Jones of Pioneer;

• Sophia Hope Matthews, five-year-old daughter of Mark and Jamie Matthews of Oneida; and,

• Lindsy Paige Cooper, four-year-old daughter of Eric and Melissa Hicks and Brian Cooper of Winfield.
