Pioneer man charged with child sex abuse
HUNTSVILLE — An investigation by the Scott County Sheriff’s Department and the Department of Children’s Services has resulted in sex abuse charges being lodged against a Pioneer man.
According to an arrest warrant, Ryan Keith Lowe, of Adkins Road in Pioneer, was charged with aggravated sexual battery.
Det. Melissa Dunning filed the charges against Lowe and took him into arrest Wednesday (June 4), concluding what Lay described as an “intense investigation,” which apparently began after a referral was filed by DCS.
Allegedly, the child involved was six years of age and was related to Lowe, according to authorities. Lowe allegedly told investigators that he was under the influence of a controlled substance at the time of the alleged crime.
Lowe was being held at the Scott County Jail under a $250,000 bond. He is scheduled to make a court appearance Monday on the charge against him.
