Seven arrested in Pioneer drug sting

PIONEER — Seven persons were arrested in a drug sting conducted by the Scott County Sheriff’s Department here last week.

The operation was conducted on Tuesday (March 18) at a residence on Ditney Trail. Sheriff Anthony Lay said the operation took two hours to complete.

“We had so many complaints from citizens about a location on Ditney Trail selling illegal drugs,” Lay said. “We spent a lot of man hours watching the residence and waiting for the right day and time to approach it. We felt March 18 was the right day and proved to be, because seven people were arrested for illegal drug transactions.”

K-9 Officers Kris Lewallen and Danny Phillips participated in the raid, along with Sheriff Lay.

Those arrested included Tim Yaden and Brian Lane, both residents of Ditney Trail, Dustin Reynolds of Oneida, Benny Lloyd of Helenwood, Doc Lloyd of Winona, Sherina Stephens of Huntsville and Amanda Garrett of Oneida.

Yaden was charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance (Morphine) for resale, possession of a Schedule III controlled substance (Hydrocodone) for resale, possession of a Schedule II (Percocet) for resale, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Lane was charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance (Morphine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Reynolds was charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance (Morphine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Benny Lloyd was charged with possession of a Schedule III controlled substance (Hydrocodone) and possession of a Schedule II controlled substance (Morphine).

Doc Lloyd was charged with possession of a Schedule III controlled substance (Percocet).

Stephens was charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance (Morphine).

Garrett was charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance (Hydrocodone).
