In his third attempt at capturing a seat on the town’s Board of Alderman, challenger David Lowe, Jr. unseated incumbent James E. Smith. Lowe received 519 votes to Smith’s 469.

Incumbents Cecil Anderson, with 664 votes, Sharon Miller (626) and Jeff Tibbals (597) were all re-elected to new four-year terms. Challenger Mac Burchfield received 416 votes in his unsuccessful election bid.
