FTSB opens new branch in Jacksboro
JACKSBORO — Charles Newport, president of First Trust & Savings Bank, recently announced that the Bank has opened its second location in Jacksboro; a full-service facility located at 2828 Appalachian Highway adjacent to its in-store Wal-Mart Branch.
First Trust & Savings Bank has operated its Jacksboro Wal-Mart office since 1999 but has stepped forward with a full-service branch “due to the growth of the bank in Jacksboro and the way the community has embraced our brand of banking over the past several years,” Newport said. The new, traditional office will feature an expansive lobby with three operational drive-up banking lanes and a drive-up ATM. Additionally, Night Depository service and Safe Deposit Boxes will be among the features of the new branch office.
Aside from having a presence in Campbell County since 1999, First Trust & Savings Bank has a long-standing tradition of service in Scott County, having been founded in Oneida in 1923. The bank currently has locations in Oneida, Huntsville and Jacksboro.
The new Jacksboro Office will be managed by Vice President Mark A. Wells, who joined the bank in May, 2007. Lisa Lowe will serve as Assistant Branch Manager, a position she assumes after eight years of service at the Wal-Mart in-store location in Jacksboro.
Wells has been in banking and real estate for the past 21 years, most recently serving as Mortgage Manager at the Tennessee Members First Federal Credit Union in Oak Ridge. The LMU graduate is active in a host of civic endeavors in Campbell County, including service on the School Board as Chairman of the Building Committee. His extensive lending and real estate experience will allow the office to “be an exceptional resource for mortgage loans and a full array of commercial lending,” Newport said. “Mark’s presence in Jacksboro will allow us to fully meet the loan needs of area business owners and those seeking an exceptional mortgage loan. We look forward to expanding our services throughout the Jacksboro area.”
“On behalf of everyone at First Trust & Savings Bank in our new Jacksboro Office, I would like to invite friends old and new to come see us and our facility,” Wells said. “We are committed to making a difference in this community through responsive, relationship-driven banking and through our lending function.”
Wells said the office will host a Grand Opening “in a few short weeks” after the staff has a chance to settle into their new surroundings.
