Contractor pleads guilty to theft, fraud
HUNTSVILLE — An Oneida man entered a guilty plea in Criminal Court here last week on several charges of theft and insurance fraud.
Wallace Walker, 48, was placed on supervised probation and ordered to pay restitution after pleading guilty to nine charges.
According to court documents filed in the Scott County Circuit Court Clerk’s office, Walker entered a guilty plea on one count of filing a false or fradulent insurance claim, one count of theft over $10,000, two counts of theft over $1,000, two counts of forgery, one count of passing a worthless check between $500 and $1,000, and two counts of passing a worthless check up to $500.
Under terms of the plea deal, Walker received an 18-year sentence, to be served alternatively as 20 years supervised probation.
He was also ordered to pay restitution to his victims.
