 Seale appointed new TECA president
December 14, 2006
Plateau Electric Cooperative CEO John B. Seale, Jr. has been elected president of the Tennessee Electric Cooperative Association (TECA).
Seale, who also serves as manager of PEC, was elected at the association’s annual meeting in November.
TECA is a statewide organization established to serve the needs of Tennessee’s electric cooperative power distributors. The association currently represents 23 individual power distributors, including Tennessee’s 22 electric cooperatives and one municipal system that is also eligible for membership. Together, these systems provide electric service to 900,000 homes, farms, industries and institutions that represent more than two million people.
Seale serves on the Scott County Industrial Board, and is chairman of the Scott Co. Urban Growth Committee.
Also recognized at the TECA Annual Meeting were Plateau Electric board members Jim Litton and Mark Kline. Litton and Kline successfully completed the five-course Credentialed Cooperative Director Program, a required program that provides education, training and information so that board members can contribute effectively to the development of their cooperatives.
