Fun-filled day for all ages . . .

October 12, 2006

The Scott County Imagination Library, along with Big Brothers Big Sisters, CASA, Kiwanis Club, and Appalachian Life Quality (ALQI), sponsored a Free Kids Carnival on Saturday at the Boys & Girls Club and Community Center.

Certificates were presented to the area Postmasters and volunteer Shelley Duncan for their assistance with the Imagination Library.

Lori Jones served as emcee and Dominoes Pizza fed the entire crowd.

The Imagination Library is supported by Governor’s Books from Birth and from grants through ALQI.

Members of the local Kiwanis Club pick up undeliverable books and volunteers work to find correct addresses so the books may be forwarded.

With grant funding coming to an end, sponsors are being sought to support this program.
