Phillips crowned Little Miss

Darcie Shayne Phillips was crowned the newest Little Miss Fairest of the Fair Monday night, as the pageant kicked off a weeklong schedule of events for the 2006 Scott County Fair.

The five-year-old is the daughter of Shane and Danielle Phillips of Oneida and she was sponsored by Choice and Renee Ryon and Family of Choice Transportation. She is a kindergarten student at Oneida Elementary School.

First runner-up in the pageant for four- and five-year-olds was Mallory Hope Wisner, daughter of Harley and Dara Wisner of Oneida. She is a kindergarten student at Winfield Elementary and was sponsored by Ollie Jones Enterprises of Speedwell, Tenn.

Breana Raine Hutchison was second runnerup in Monday night’s pageant. She is the daughter of Arnold Hutchison of Knoxville and Jill and Randy Neal of Oneida. She is a kinderstart student at Oneida Elementary School and was sponsored by NAPA Auto Parts.

The field of 20 contestants was narrowed to 10 semifinalists and then six finalists before the winner and two runners-up were selected by a slate of judges from Crossville, Tenn.

Also named as finalists in the pageant were Alexis Brooke Griffith, Rebecca Blue Pryor and Jayden Bryant Thomas.

Alexis is the daughter of Les and Tricia Griffith of Robbins. She is in pre-K at Robbins Elementary and was sponsored by Griffith Excavating.

Rebecca’s parents are Tim and Tamra Pryor of Oneida. She attends Oneida Playskool and was sponsored by Oneida Cinema 3.

Jayden is the daughter of Bryan and Marcy Thomas of Helenwood and attends kinderstart at Oneida Elementary School. She was sponsored by South Fork Guttering.

Rounding out the 10 semifinalists were:

McKinley Faith Byrd, daughter of Gary and Natasha Byrd, Oneida. She was sponsored by Joyce’s Unique Hair Design.

Jaden Rayleigh Chambers, daughter of Robin Sharpe and Mark Chambers. Her sponsor was Hibbard and Son Construction.

Laileigh Grace McGhee, daughter of Denise Bankton and Lance McGhee. She was spnsored by Tami’s Hair and Nail Salon.

Bethany Ann Stanley, daughter of Dwight and Kimberly Stanley, and sponsored by Stanley Building General Contractors.

Other contestants in the Little Miss pageant included:

Madison Nicole Baird, daughter of David and Amber Baird. She was sponsored by J&M Farm / Hay Sales.

Kaitlyn Raylee Barnes, daughter of Anthony and Julie Barnes and sponsored by Carry All Trucking Inc.

Alexis Daugherty, daughter of Doug and Tessa Daugherty and sponsored by Wooly Lamb Organics.

Mary Lynn Frogge, daughter of Chris and Fallon Frogge, sponsored by Eclipse Hair Salon.

Cherish Potter, daughter of Alan Potter and Crystal Hiske Potter. She was sponsored by Keeton Insurance and Monuments.

Kira Zhaan Reed, daughter of Brandie Strunk and Eddie Strunk, Jr., and Shane Reed. First National Bank of Oneida was her sponsor.

Mackenzie Reanne Seabolt, daughter of Scott and Lee Ann Seabolt. She was sponsored by Cut Above the Rest Hair Studios.

Kayla B. Stephens, daughter of Kevin and Roxanna Stephens. She also was sponsored by First National Bank of Oneida.

Cydney Celeste White, daughter of Randy and Cyndi White. B. Reed Fancher Construction was her sponsor.

McKenzie Lauren Wright, daughter of Cyntha Wright and Brent Slaven. She was sponsored by T L Davis Photography.

Other pageants scheduled for the Scott County Fair this week include the Little Miss Junior pageant, which was to have been held Tuesday night; Miss Pre-Teen, to be held Thursday night; and Miss Scott County Fairest of the Fair, set for Saturday night.
