Violet Lois Smithers Dotson, 89, of Westpoint, Kentucky, formerly of Scott County, passed away March 1, 2010.
Born January 28, 1921, she was preceded in death by her parents, George and Cora Smithers; her husband, Walter Lee Dotson; and one daughter, Pamela Ellis.
She was a long-time member of West Robbins Missionary Baptist Church, and dedicated her life to service her Lord.
She is survived by her son, Gary Dotson and wife, Nita; one sister, General Davis; brothers: Keith Smithers, and Boice Smithers and wife, Myrtle; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives.
Funeral service was conducted March 6, at West Robbins Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Randall Kimbrell officiating. Interment followed at Black Creek Crossroads Cemetery.
West-Murley Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
