Ulas M. Lay, 61, of Huntsville, passed away December 31, 2009, at St. Mary’s Medical Center of Scott County in Oneida.
Born August 17, 1948, he was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Deola Riseden Lay.
He is survived by his wife, Goldie Lay of Huntsville; one daughter, Evelyn Rutherford and husband, Lance, of New Market, Tenn.; two sons: Jerry Mckinley Lay and wife, Lisa, and James Lay and wife, Amy, all of Huntsville; seven grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, one sister, Loretta Brock and husband, Arlie, of Huntsville; several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives.
Funeral service was conducted Jan. 2, 2010, in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Marvin Bowling and Bro. Joe Storey officiating. Music was provided by Jimmy Ray Lloyd. Interment followed at Ulas Lay Family Cemetery.
West-Murley Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
