Tootsie Stanley, 75

Margaret Louise (Tootsie) Stanley, 75, of the Pine Hill community, passed away November 15, 2009, at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.

Born in Scott County, April 22, 1934, she was preceded in death by her parents, Issac “Ikie” and Lorene Daniels Phillips; her husband, Robert Rhodes Stanley; three grandchildren: Katrina Allen, Robert Shane “Redbone” Allen, and Dustin Chambers; two brothers: Roy and Jack Phillips; two sisters: Ruthie Phillips and Alene “Pete” Powell; and one daughter-in-law, Brenda Sue Stanley.

She was a member of Clay Hill Baptist Church and also attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children: Shirley Ann Gibson, Robert E. Stanley, Tommy Lee Stanley, Teddy Joe Stanley, Joy Newport, Patsy Stanley, Donna Chambers and husband, Gary, Cora Marlow and husband, Ray, Jimmie Sue and Ronnie Lewis, and Natasha Phillips and husband, Curt, all of Oneida, and Rita Merrick and husband, J.C., of Nancy, Ky.; 19 grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren, one uncle, Milford “Red” Daniels; special sister-in-law and friend, Ilene Phillips; several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives.

Funeral service was conducted November 18, in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Staten, Rev. Douglas Stanley, and Rev. Dwight Stanley officiating. Music was provided by Douglas and Lena Stanley. Interment followed at Pine Hill Cemetery.

Jones & Son Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
