Clifton “Tip” Terry, 60, passed away December 16, 2009, at St. Mary’s Medical Center of Scott County in Oneida.
Born in Scott County, August 7, 1949, he was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Lois Terry; one daughter, Paula Terry Botts; and two brothers: Alton “Bud” Terry, and infant, Craig Terry.
He was a member of the Tunnel Hill Baptist Church where he served as a deacon; and he enjoyed and treasured his many friendships.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Terry of Oneida; his children: Pamela and Joe Hatfield, Penny and Brian Strunk, Jon and Alice Terry, and Julie and Damon Farris; niece that was like a daughter to him, Angela and Robbie Litton; 12 special grandchildren, brothers: Earl David Terry and wife Delores, and Russell Terry and wife, Dale; sister, June West; special aunt, Yvonne West; mother-in-law, Bessie Brewer; sister-in-law: Molly Farwick; sister and brothers-in-law: Sherry and Ray Charles, and Tex Thompson; special friends: Sean, Candy, Sean Christian, Josh, Alex, Lucas, and Sam Worley, fellow members of Tunnel Hill Baptist Church, Bob and Kay Thompson, Lulu and Junior Raines, Glen Daugherty, and special family friend, Sharon Boyatt; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and kind and caring neighbors.
Funeral service was conducted December 19, in the chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home of Oneida with Bro. Brian Strunk and Bro. Billy Lowe officiating. Music was provided by Dudley Harness, Tunnel Hill Baptist Church Choir, and John Polly. Interment followed at Hazel Valley Cemetery.
