On April 6, 2009, Scott County Commission approved a long-term lease agreement for Mercy Health Partners to operate Scott County Hospital through at least 2024. The decision culminated months of debate over the hospital's future that dated back to early 2008, when St. Mary's assumed the lease from Attentus Healthcare.
