Ruth E. Elmore, 91, of Helenwood, formerly of Springfield, passed away December 23, 2009, at Harriman Care & Rehab Center.
Born in Robertson County, January 30, 1918, she was preceded in death by her parents, Ray Edison and Lula Mae Walton; and her husband, James L. Elmore.
She was a Baptist, a devoted mother and grandmother, and was retired from the old Springfield Woolen Mill.
She is survived by one daughter, June Elmore of Helenwood; one son, Jerry (Bobbi) Nash of Springfield, Tenn.; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many other relatives.
Funeral service was conducted December 29, at Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Kirby officiating. Interment followed at Elmwood Cemetery.
Robertson County Funeral had charge of arrangements.
