Roy D. Crabtree, 84, of Oneida, passed away December 20, 2009, at North East Florida Community Hospice in Jacksonville, Florida.
Born in Scott County, March 24, 1925, he was preceded in death by his parents, John Thomas an Eva Lee Bell Crabtree.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Palmer Crabtree; daughter, Patricia Diane Amos and husband, Calvin; son, Roy Wayne Crabtree and wife, Ramona; step-son, Walter Oliver and wife, Debbie; step-daughter, Tammy England and husband, Andy; two grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, one step-great-grandchild, sisters: Christine Murphy and husband, Chester, Virgie Litton and husband, Paul, and Mary Louise Teague and husband, Marvin; several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives.
The family was to have received friends from 1 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 23, in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Rev. David Beckham officiating. Interment was to have followed at Walker Cemetery in Winfield
Jones & Son Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
