Inez D. Cotton, 80

Inez Deloris Cotton, 80, of Oneida, passed away January 15, 2010, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Knoxville.

Born in Scott County, April 7, 1929, she was preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Cathrine Sexton; her husband, Edward Junior Cotton; children: Roy Edward, Eddie Lee, and Anna Lou Cotton; two brothers, Olen and Homer Sexton; and five sisters: Cholie Byrd, Mary Rodgers, and Hessie, Sophie and Island Crabtree.

She was a member of High Point Baptist Church; and was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was an amazing woman who gave of herself to help those in need.

She is survived by her daughter, Alma Ruth Burner of Knoxville; one son, Jamie Lee Cotton of Oneida; two grandchildren, one brother, Ruble Sexton of Huntsville; and many other relatives.

Funeral service was conducted January 18, in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Chaplain Phil Groos officiating. Interment followed at Cotton Cemetery.

West-Murley Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
