Indians win two of three in Union Co.

MAYNARDVILLE — Oneida won two of three in the Union County Christmas Tournament last week, with both wins coming against Class AAA schools.
Wins against Halls (67-62) and South Doyle (66-58) sandwiched a 77-62 setback to the Chattanooga Patriots.

Cody Carson and Jake Wright were named to the all-tournament team following its conclusion.

Against Halls, Carson scored 25 points, while Dylan West added 19 and Wright 17. Also scoring were Clay Jeffers, Tyler Blevins and Mark Miller, with two points each.

Carson scored 21 more against Chattanooga, while West scored 10, Wright and Noah Duncan scored eight each, Blevins scored six, Jeffers scored four, Trey Allen scored three and Dusty Thompson scored two points.

In the tournament finale against South Doyle, Carson scored 20, West 19, Wright 15, Jeffers five, Duncan four and Blevins three.

The Indians were to have resumed regular season play at Wartburg on Tuesday, and will host Jellico tomorrow (Friday) night. Both games are key district matchups.

On Saturday, York Institute will visit OHS Gymnasium for a 5 p.m. tipoff.
