Edith L. Duncan, 94

Edith Lillian Duncan, 94, of Somerset, Kentucky, formerly of Oneida, passed away November 15, 2009, at her daughter’s residence.

Born in Scott County, November 22, 1914, she was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Cressie Strunk; her husband, Fred H. Duncan; and one brother, Floyd Duncan.

She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church for more than 70 years.

She is survived by three children: Freddie Conatser and husband, Donald, of Port Orange, Fla., Shirley Ray and husband, Bill, of Somerset, Ky., and Bill R. Duncan of Deland, Fla.; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, one sister, Elsie King and husband, Marshall, of Winfield; one brother, Lloyd Strunk of Winfield; and many other relatives.

A celebration of life service was conducted November 17, in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with grandson, Mickey Ray officiating. Music was provided by Dallas West. Graveside service was to have been conducted at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 18, at Carson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Jones & Son Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
