Carl Boyatt, 93, of Oneida, passed away February 28, 2010, at St. Mary’s Medical Center of Scott County in Oneida.
Born January 19, 1917, he was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Lucy Jane Marcum Boyatt; three brothers: Willie, James, and Clay; two sisters: Katherlene Collins and Maggie Kidd; and one daughter-in-law, Sharon Boyatt.
He was a member of Foster Crossroads Baptist Church for many years, and was an employee of West-Murley Funeral Home for more than 43 years.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Cordell Boyatt of Oneida; sons: M.C. Boyatt, and Bill Boyatt and wife, Cheryl, all of Oneida; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, brothers: Everett Boyatt and wife, Raydene, Archie Boyatt, and Bobby Boyatt; sisters: Glennis Stephens and husband, Joe, Shirley Reagen, and Faye Hicks and husband, George; and many other relatives.
Funeral service was to have been conducted at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 3, with Bro. Willie Boyatt officiating. Interment was to have followed at Marcum-Kidd Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Marcum-Kidd Cemetery, c/o First National Bank, P.O. Box 4699, Oneida, TN 37841.
West-Murley Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
