Bulah Mae Smallin Ferguson, 100, of Oneida, passed away December 17, 2009, at McCreary County Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Monroe County, Tennessee, December 6, 1909, she was preceded in death by her parents, W.O. and Daisy Dean Smallin; her husband, Carl L. Ferguson; one brother, Willie Dean Smallin; and one sister, Roxie Glenn Carroll.
She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church-Oneida.
She is survived by one daughter, Eva Lois Coppenger and husband, R.V., of Maryville; one son, Jerry Ferguson and wife, Gaynell, of Oneida; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, special niece and nephew, Dorothy and Minor Moiseau of Mich.; and many other relatives.
Funeral service was conducted December 19, at First Baptist Church-Oneida with Dr. Doug White and Rev. Philip Kazee officiating. Music was provided by First Baptist Church Choir, Allan Matthews, Timothy Crane, and Kathy Coppenger. Graveside service was conducted December 20, at Grandview Cemetery in Maryville with Rev. David Hammonds officiating.
