Bonnie Watters, 70

Bonnie Watters, 70, of Oneida, passed away November 15, 2009, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville.

Born in Scott County, July 7, 1939, she was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Pearl Ball Duncan; one sister, Shelia Radford; and one sister-in-law, Barbara Duncan.

She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Harry “Pete” Watters; one son, Gary Randell Laxton and wife, Peggy, of Powell; three daughters: Kimberly Sloan and husband, Bob, and Jenny Benham and husband, Sam, all of Texas, and Cindy Powers of Colorado; 13 grandchildren, one sister, Betty Letner and husband, Sonny, of Oneida; three brothers: Bill Duncan of Millington, Tenn., Dwane Duncan and wife, Teresa, of Oneida, and Bobby Ball and wife, Geneve, of Ohio; and many other relatives.

Funeral service was conducted November 19, at Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Dilbert Terry and Rev. Gary Boyatt officiating. Music was provided by Trinity Baptist Church. Interment followed at Wilhite Cemetery.

Jones & Son Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
