Bill Phillips, 62

Billy “Kizer Bill” Phillips, 62 of Oneida, passed away December 3, 2009, at St. Mary’s Medical Center of Scott County in Oneida.

Born in Scott County, April 19, 1947, he was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Charline Phillips; infant son, Delmer Gene; infant grandson, Braxton Scott Ray; two brothers: Hollis and Delmer Phillips; and mother-in-law, Izella Miller.

He was a member of Tunnel Hill Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Derita Phillips; three sons: Jamie and wife, Holly, Marty and wife, Casey, and Melvin and wife, Cindy; one daughter, Susie Ray and husband, Brian; 12 grandchildren, one sister, Geraldine Phillips; one brother, Wayne Phillips; sisters-and brothers-in-law: Benny and April, Sharon and Keith, Henrietta, Lisa and Donnie, Beulah, and Donna; father-in-law, Dewey Miller; special friends: Jerry Wright, and Big John’s coffee buddies; several nieces and nephews, and any other relatives.

Funeral service was conducted December 5, in the chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home of Oneida with Bro. Donnie Griffith and Bro. Kevin Reynolds officiating. Music was provided by Donnie Griffith. Graveside service was conducted December 6, at Pike Cemetery in the Tunnel Hill community.

Four Oaks Funeral Home of Oneida had charge of arrangements.
