Bettie Rebecca Chambers Smithers, 40, of Annadell, passed away December 26, 2009, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville.
Born in Scott County, September 30, 1969, she is survived by her parents, Oval and Reeda Chambers of Annadell; one daughter, Marilyn Melissa Chambers of Huntsville, one granddaughter, life partner, James Shaver; one sister, Novella Lowe and husband, Kenneth, of the Straight Fork community; one brother, James Chambers and wife, Jennifer of Annadell; one half-brother, James Anthony Chambers of Ohio; nieces and nephews: Nikki Chambers, Keisha Chambers, Mary and Harvey Day, Veronica Gibson, Tia Bowling, Justin Chambers, and Benji Bowling; two great-nephews, Alex Carson and Zachary Carson; aunts and uncles: Estel, Jean, Linda, David, and Helen Gibson; special friend, Jennifer Smith of Robbins; and many other relatives.
Funeral service was conducted December 29, in the chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home of Huntsville with Bro. Dudley Harness and Bro. David Gibson officiating. Music was provided by Tammy Hutson, Linda Massengale, and Kelsy Blakley. Graveside services was to have been conducted at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 30, at Oval Chambers Family Cemetery in Annadell.
Four Oaks Funeral Home of Huntsville had charge of arrangements.
